Techniques in Managing Risks
Project managers should be proactive while running a project not always reactive. Risk Management deals with practical tools and techniques that will enable a project manager to identify, quantify, and develop the appropriate strategies to handle future potential problems.
This course will introduce you to the practical tools, techniques, and methodologies that effective Project Managers use to manage risks throughout the project life-cycle. In this Risk Management program, you’ll work through the proactive approach to threat and opportunity—based on a clear understanding of the powerful nature of both qualitative and quantitative approaches to risk management. Included in the course is a multi-part case study that takes you from a risk overview at the beginning of a project through the challenges of ongoing assessment and reassessment of threats and opportunities throughout the project.
This class is a must for all Project Managers across all industries, especially those that are in the Technology or IT industry. It is recommended that you take Fundamentals of Managing Projects (or equivalent class) prior to taking this class. Class exercises and case studies are used extensively to provide participants with hands-on opportunities with the techniques discussed.
